SLOUGH COMMUNITY TRANSPORT AND SHOPMOBILITY
A scheme to provide you with the loan of a wheelchair or a scooter to do your shopping and other business in and around the Slough Town Centre
Supported by:Slough Borough Council

Who can use the service?

Anyone who has difficulty getting around. You don't have to be a registered disabled person, a regular wheelchair user or even have a blue badge. The service is available for use by both young and old who have mobility problems whether the result of permanent or temporary disablement, age, accident or illness.

How does it work?

Call in at the ShopMobility base, where a member of staff will help you to fill in a registration form. You will be asked to produce two forms of identification e.g. utility bill, benefit book or driver's licence.
Forms can only be completed in this office.

Customers who are unable to manage a manual wheelchair on their own may need to bring a companion along, although some assistance could be arranged by booking the services of the Shopper's Helper.

Customers will be shown how to operate the equipment by trained staff in a practice area until proficient.
